New Issue on CCTV

Worried VIPS ( Bo- Lam- par yet still want to do it) stock up on anti-spy devices...
NST-9/1/2007
"Given the deterioration of values in our society,I can understand why these camera detectors are becoming popular".- Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam,Chairman of Asli/Centre of Public studies.
I still don't understand? If these people are not doing any thing wrong, why should they worry about being filmed? If you have a top secret meeting then you should hold it in an secure place of your own venue.
Our friend has done a great deal of scarifies for the country, party and rakyat by exposing the these illegal activities ( Involuntary Action) of intruding into some one's private life and that scarifies has brought awareness through out the whole nation.Sad huh someone must die like this.
In those days, any activities involving revolution, routes to freedom...someone or peoples must made the scarifies - Most of them were died owning to their fighting and shed blood for the course of freedom and liberation. Our friend had made the scarifies for these awareness issue...and again by an involuntary act.

As usual there're blood suckers and rent seekers who'll turn other peoples' misery into their own gold mine!
These people will put up proposals to install 'state of the art' cctv systems at every nook and corner. They'll set up their own companies and get the gomen to farm out the contracts to them without tender. They'll of course charge a bomb and will be laughing all the way to the bank.

To install cctv in a luxury hotel without management knowing tell you that it is an insider job, or some one higher up the government food chain manage to pressure the hotel in
turning a blind eye on them.

install cctv on building to improve public security is a necessity and i fully agree what the govt is doing but make sure they are maintained and functional at all time don't wait until when we need the information only then do we find out that it is not working look at the camera being installed at road juctions i wonder they are still working ?? millions has been spend and now lay to rot as usual nobody claim responsibility or know anything .

Device is not working because faulty one is installed but government paying the full price for makan rasuah. Like the youth ministry and few other agency contracts, a screwdriver costs several hundred but functionality is limited and price tag is artificially boast.
