Contract Law In MALAYSIA
Legal Issue on Contract Law in Malaysia - Good for us to know Notice that most of the time, the receipt / invoice you received from the merchant carries this exclusion clause or similarly worded statement: ' Goods sold are not returnable' or 'No refund once sold'. ' As long as your good is purchased for home use and not for business ( i.e. to be resold), the above exclusion clause is VOID. That means, as long as the good is defective, regardless of what is worded, you CAN get back all your money spent. You do not have to accept a repair on the good or an exchange. You CAN ask for a refund. AND you are LEGALLY right and entitled to! What a relevation!! And most of the time the merchant will refuse to return you your money. You can threaten the merchant with four words: 'SEE YOU IN COURT!' The court here refers to the Small Claims Tribunal Court . However, you don't have to tell them what court! All you have to pay is RM10 admin fee and the loser (the merchant) will have to refund you the money PLUS the admin fee! Even educated people are cowed by such unfair wordings. Pls try not to let the merchant fleece you the next time you have a defective good. I know where to file this. On the 16th floor of Putra Place (The Mall opposite Putra World Trade Centre) . The form cost RM5.00. The Tribunal will settle within 2 months period. Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia , Tingkat 16, Putra Place , 100, Jalan Putra , 50622 KUALA LUMPUR Tel: 03 - 40492300 / 40424181 Fax: 03 - 40424259

GOOD TIPS...How To Turn Them Off...
Ten ways to stop those credit card sales, mobile companies, insurance calls from irritating you:
1 After the telemarketer finishes speaking, ask him/her to marry you. 2 Tell the telemarketer you are busy at the moment, and ask him/her, if he/she will give you his/her home phone number so you can call him/her back. 3 Ask them to repeat everything they say, several times. 4 Tell them it is dinnertime, BUT ask if they would please hold. Put them on your speaker phone while you continue to eat at your leisure. Smack your food loudly and continue with your dinner conversation. 5 Tell them that all business goes through your agent, and hand the phone to your five year old child. 6 Tell them you are hard of hearing and that they need to speak up.... Louder... Louder... Louder! 7 If they start out with, "How are you today?", say "I'm so glad you asked, because no one these days seems to care, and I have all these problems............." 8 Tell them to speak very slowly because you want to write every word down. 9 Cry out in surprise, "Helen, is that you? I've been hoping you'd call! How is the family?" When they insist they are not Helen, tell them to stop joking. This works especially well if the telemarketer is really MALE. 10 Tell the ICICI call centre guy to call on your office number - and give him the HSBC call centre number.

We are Just part of the system...
Every human being gathers information from the center of a circle. If we are not careful, we
soon think we are the center of all things.
Therefore, it is easy to become self centered. Once we become self centered we start to
think we are above all things and therefore superior. But we are really only one part of a
great whole. The universe is all connected..Each part is here and to do something special
and according to its design. We are here to honor and respect the job of each part. We are neither above nor below anything. We need not be ruler over anything, we need only to live inhonor and harmony with the system.

"Meditation With Our Native Elders"
"We forget so we consider ourselves
superior. But we are, after all, a mere
part of the creation and we must consider
to understand where we are and we stand
somewhere between the mountain and the
Ant. Somewhere and only there is a part
and parcel of the creation."

Descebdabts of the ALIENS ???
A bit of mystery about the Dropa tribe...
While exploring a series of caves in the pathless Himalayan mountains of the remote Bayan-Kara-Ula in Qinghai, on the border of China and Tibet, a discovery was made.
The uniquely shaped cave walls were square like and glazed, as if to be carved out by heat. As they walked through these caves, they noticed the carved drawings on the walls of the sun, moon, land, mountains and peas sized dots connecting the Earth with the sky. Deeper in the cave, were graves, within these graves were small dwarf like humans and discs, about 12" wide. Later these cave drawings and discs were determined to be around 12,000 years old.
The legend passed down by the local tribes, is as follows, 12,000 years ago, an extraterrestrial craft crashed into the mountains. There were survivors of the crash and because they were unable to repair their craft, these aliens lived amongst the tribes until they either died of unknown causes or killed by other local tribes for fear of them.
Some say the Dropa are descendants of these aliens... no one will ever know for sure. There is a huge shroud of mystery wrapped around this legend becasue of the Chinese and Tibetan government.
If you do a search on the Dropa tribe or discs... the same story appears. Some say there are grooves in the discs that when looked at very closely, there are of hieroglyphs telling the story of the alien crash and some go further in stating that when the discs are spun, they hum with an electrial charge.

Tourism in Malaysia
Tourists Tilo Guenter Herfet, 40, and his spouse, Anke Schlegelfell, 42, had always wanted an out-of- the-ordinary wedding.
And so the couple flew all the way from Dresden, Germany, to the beach at Permai Rainforest Resort -- and held their ceremony in the tropical paradise with the sunset as a backdrop.
Anke, who wore a white dress, said: "The wedding was everything we had hoped for.
"Simple, quiet and intimate, in a beautiful tropical landscape with just family and close friends. "To our friends who want to get married, I say come here and experience the joy."( I would consider this phrase as a powerful "free" advertisement for Malaysia by the spread of "word & mouth")
This arrangement was made possible by the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and a private tour company. WELL,WELL, WELL....Let's hear another piece of story....
Datuk Seri Jean Todt was chosen for his international connections
It was reported that the Tourism Ministry has offered to pay former Ferrari Formula One team boss Datuk Seri Jean Todt RM1 million to serve as the country's tourism ambassador.
And , Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Ng Yen Yen defended the sum involved following criticism in the Dewan Rakyat by Parti Keadilan Rakyat member of parliament for Gombak, Azmin Ali.
Azmin told the Dewan Rakyat earlier that the RM1 million included an annual fee of RM593,000. Another RM388,000 was to be paid to Todt for holidays in Malaysia. He said that Todt and his Malaysian fiancee, actress Michelle Yeoh, were also offered a piece of land in Pulau Besar, Terengganu. "Why is the Tourism Ministry willing to pay him such a large amount to promote Malaysia? "We have tourism offices all around the world that are also marketing Malaysia. Why is there an overlapping of duties?"
Azmin later said that the RM593,000 fee included payment for air tickets amounting to RM360,000, accommodation and tips (RM60,000), laundry, faxes and telephone costs (RM90,000) and other expenses. On the RM388,000 holiday package, he said the bulk of it went on air tickets for two (RM240,000), while miscellaneous expenses were estimated at RM60,000. In return, Todt was required to attend a minimum of two major events in Malaysia and two international missions to promote the country."The ministry agreed to bear all expenses, including his holiday in Malaysia twice a year for two persons," said Azmin. ....Sometimes a person will be rewarded well if he/she is somebody else...AS compare to the German couple; They paid a huge sum of monies and yet doing Malaysia Tourism a big favour- a free advertisement for Malaysia.without causing a single cent from the government and we even make money out of this lovely couple (from their shopping...).

Why can't we give out free trip for couples who wish to get marry here in Malaysia-be on the beach ,Nyonya House,on a beca, in Batu Caves, KLCC tower ,etc. I believe those budget would not exceed a million for a fix number of selected couples per year.We have Mosque,Churches and temples ( Indian,Sikhs,Chinese..etc) every where in every corner (especially for Muslim from Middle East)...This would also make Malaysia a popular destination to get marry huh!
Like wise i believe if you are GOOD & BRAINY & YOUNG & "BEAUTIFUL"(the last word i can think off)( in the market...) You wouldn't have to worry about retrenchment...somehow somebody would want to get you... See! Old and Respectful guy also can get hire...why not u??

Japanese Jeans. Bringing Sexy Back
Japan has come out with yet another sexy, wild, and edgy fashion trend with these Bikini Jeans, that act as both underwear and jeans.
Sandra Tanimura, a Sanna designer, created these jeans after customers mentioned they had a hard time keeping their low cut jeans up.
“We specialize in making low-rise trousers and our customers wanted them to get even lower. It was very difficult meeting these demands without the trousers falling down. I came up with the idea of using the bikini strings to let the trousers hang really low without falling,” she added.
