LONGER CAMPAIGN PERIOD
There will be 13 days of campaigning for this genaral election.It was only 8 days in 2004; 9 days in 1999 and 10 days each in 1986 & 1995.
HOW MANY CAN VOTE
10,922,139 PEOPLE, 600,000 MORE THAN IN 2004, ARE ELIGIBLE.THERE ARE 221,085 POSTAL VOYERS.
How much it will cost : THE Election Commission will spend RM200 million,deploying 149,000 staff and 50,000 casual staff,including helicopter pilots and boat navigators.
