Blessing for by-election area

Whenever there is a by election in any area; the promises of the up coming wakil rakyat is a piece of good news to the rakyat locally...
EXAMPLE:-
1) “I realise voters are afraid that we may not fulfil our promises. Let me assure you that BN does not make false promises"
2) “If there is a shortage of allocations, I, as the finance minister, will approve additional funding.
3) “Barisan Nasional is not a party that forsakes the people, regardless of whether the people voted for it, because it has always made the people its priority.”

COMMON SCENES:
Anywhere in the country and all too often, a ruckus of sorts is sparked the moment a politician's name is placed on the table. Everyone would be bashing the person.
"Tak buat kerja... tak pernah nampak muka" (To suggest supposedly absentee-wakil rakyat has been idle). Chances are they, would sing praises of a past wakil rakyat. It is the dynamics of coffee shop chatter.
Increasingly, and inevitably now, the wakil rakyat has to appear at several places at once as expectations soar.
