The day has come

Aide says Malaysian minister offers resignation
Malaysia's law minister has offered his resignation after protesting the government's use of a draconian law in a series of arrest last week.
An aide to Zaid Ibrahim says the minister tendered his resignation letter to Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today.
The move came after he broke rank and criticized the use of the Internal Security Act, which allows indefinite detention without trial, to detain an opposition lawmaker and two journalists last week

I do not blame him for resigning, if i am a law minister in this administration, i will be ashamed of seeing use of ISA on civilian citizens, it 's like telling everyone our law is useless and Malaysian has no right under our legal system. what is the use of being a law minister where government officials had no respect for the country rule of law but only draconian act.

It is really amazing Zaid can sustain such a long stay in the cabinet judging from the lawless behaviors of those ministers, who placed themselves above the rule of law instead of obeying the law. He is really a law minister without authority but only position. This poor fellow was duped into present administration to make reform.

This poor fellow was duped into this administration to effect reform, how can him able to stay that long in this cabinet itself is amazing, seeing all these lawless ministers placing themselves above the rule of law and all the political interferences as a law minister.
