Mekong Giant Cat Fish

These two pictures was taken at Golden Triangle in Thailand during my recent trip there.As u can see the "Goddess" (looks like a mermaid) is with the giant cat fish.The Thai believe it will bring good luck.This place is just beside the Mekong River;where the giant cat fish is found.

MEKONG GIANT FISH Fishers in northern Thailand netted this huge catfish in the Mekong River on May 1. Nearly nine feet long (2.7 meters) and as big as a grizzly bear, the behemoth tipped the scales at 646 pounds (293 kilograms). Experts say the fish, which belongs to the species known as the Mekong giant catfish, may be the largest freshwater fish ever recorded.

Listed a critically endangered by the World Conservation Union (IUCN), the Mekong giant catfish is one of the world's largest freshwater fishes. Other contenders include the Chinese paddlefish and the dog-eating catfish—another Mekong River giant.

Thai fishers struggled for more than an hour to haul in the record-breaking Mekong giant catfish. Officials from Thailand 's Inland Fishery Deparment then used aperformance- enhancing drug to stimulate the pituitary gland of the female fish in order to prepare it for a breeding program (above). Despite efforts to keep the bear-size catfish alive, it died and was later eaten by villagers.

After a record-breaking Mekong giant catfish died, residents of Hat Khrai, a Thai village on the Mekong River , butchered the fish for its meat.

" Mekong people believe it's a sacred fish, because it persists on plant matter and 'meditates'"—in the deep, stony pools of the Mekong River —"somewhat like a Buddhist monk, said Zeb Hogan, a fisheries biologist who studies the largest freshwater fish in the world. A WWF conservation fellow and National Geographic Society Emerging Explorer, Hogan has received funding from the National Geographic Society Conservation Trust. Mekong giant catfish attract high prices in Thailand , because eating the fish is supposed to bring good luck.

It actually belongs to PENANG PORT SDN BHD - "Port Fire & Rescue" jeep ! What a funny word.

A sad tale in plastic surgery

Our friend has done a great deal of scarifies for the country,party and rakyat by exposing the these illegal activities ( Involuntary Action) of intruding into some one's private life and that scarifies has brought awareness through out the whole nation.Sad huh someone must die like this.

Calls for Abolition the law of prohibiting Oral Sex-NST 9/1/2008

Why want to set rules on this happily married couple??

Most fair- minded Malaysian would support this call.There are many reasons why this

anachronistic law should be repealed.

The enforcement of this law is difficult if not impossible and unnecessary. How does the law prevent consenting adults from having oral sex in the private of their own house?

Why should the law dictate what consenting adult do in private as long as they do not disturb other people or violate public decency?

Sex counsellors and psychiatrists dealing with sexual problem view oral sex as a normal and even desirable sexual activity among their patients.

We are now in the 21 st century.Laws are important but laws must be practical.If we have laws that become a laughing matter,then a relook at the law is necessary.

Tourist turn Molester

Mata-mata pun nak try, Betul betul tak da mata betul....

One Vietnamese tourist was caught molesting a woman cop! Wau lan wer taur tar le ( Hokkien -brave) Am i Hokkien or What!? Mind You some phrases are most expressive in local dialect speaking.Am i right?

More and more of these foreigners are coming to Malaysia to work,social visit,study,seek medical treatment and so on.And a fraction of them do involved in criminal activities and once a while if undetected some might even bring in some chronic diseases like tuberculosis (TB)( Already got cases on this),VD and AIDS into our country.

Our Health Ministry ( Opps sorry, no tales on this ex minister's department - just accidentally cross the line...) must be more vigilance to carry out their duties to check and deport those found to be a carrier or infested with the deadly viruses.

I do not wish to mention names here; As you can read yourself in the daily news that their criminal records are increasingly high now...

Look at this advertisement! It was tied onto a lamp post along the busy junction in Section 14,PJ. just in front of the traffic junction le! I can see that there is no MBPJ approval number on the ad. So daring...

Let's see how long will this unauthorized ad last.As i observed, it was there for the last two days. Mana lu MBPJ? Tak Nampak kah?

In Malaysia,one can see many of thhese kind of advertisements all over the places; all sort of ad like: Ah Long,TV repair,properties,Astro,refrigerators repair,washing machine repair,lorry for rent,house/room for rent and many more...there are every where: on the road side,tree ,lamp post,vacant shop lots,staircase way,road kerbs and so on....

Currently, I am managing 6 properties for others and plus one mine own house-No service charge;they are all my brothers',my close friend's and my mother's properties-If you need some copy of the std rental agreement you can e mail me and for a small sum of fees lesser than Karpal Singh's std charges. I always put up my ad at the 7-11 outlet and it is free of charge,convenient too.

A few years back, my dear mother-70 plus,was conned by a ad pinned on a tree trunk-a washing machine mechanic came and took away the 10 years old "Benn Meyer" washing machine to repair.The estimated initial costing was about rm 160.00 and when the thing was sent to the repair shop in Puchong ( this was the place mentioned to me during the conversation with the mechanic); a phone call came asking for rm 650.00!! wow! Thai Lang huh ( HOkkien-Killing people) I made the deal with him through the phone and he still didn't want to accommodate a fair price.

Finally after some discussion with my mom and she agreed not to deal further and just cart the old machine there and didn't pay a single cent for it.That man got upset and willingly reduced the rate but we were not interested any more and were happy that someone helps to take the scrap away but i can sensed that my mom is not soooooo willing to part with her old steel buddy-a reliable brand-From Show Road to Bkt Maluri and then to Kepong Perdana! In fact i did tell the man that he was trying to con an elderly woman...With a mere rm 650.00,i could have got myself a new machine!

The moral of the story :"don't get con by an ad on the tree trunk huh!"
